Upcoming Events


- On Tuesday (12/21), CPS will be having a Pajama Day! Students may dress in their favorite pajamas and bring one stuffed animal. Please remember: no slippers and pajamas should be weather and school appropriate! There will also be a few other surprises for the kids on Tuesday.

Parent’s Night Out will take place from 5:30-8:30 on Friday, December 3rd!
We are in need of monetary and food donations as well as parents to volunteer time to help watch kids.
****Also, don’t forget to sign up your student! We are going to have a blast hanging out on a Friday night so parents can catch a break, go on a date, or do some holiday shopping!

2021 Virtual Art Night Video

Building School Success

-  Virtual Art Night

- There will be a PTA meeting on November 8th at 6 pm. 
There will also be a virtual art night on November 18th. More information will be coming soon.

- Picture Retake Day is Tuesday, October 29th. 

- Lunch menus will be posted on the CPS website, under "For Parents," and use the page "Lunch Menus 2021/2022." Due to supply issues the kitchen is not able to use the standard menu posted. Please check periodically as the menu is subject to change.

- October is National Bully Prevention month. We will be celebrating here at CPS through dress-up days, in-class lessons, and learning about our role in bully prevention. Here is a letter that will come home this week detailing activities and dates for CPS.

- Pup gear is for sale! Please head over to the PTA store to see what is currently available. While there please register for the PTA as well, remember these funds help support CPS, the students, and the staff. Under "For Parents" go to PTA page to find out about membership, fundraising, members, and the store.

- Did you know that CPS is a Title l school? Do you know what Title l is? Here is a informational slideshow that has some basics about what Title l is and what it does for students. Title l also has a webpage under "For Parents" that contains even more information and is updated throughout the school year.

- Interested in the PTA? Please check out the work-in-progress PTA page, you can find this under the "For Parents" tab. You will find information on how to join online (paper forms will also be sent home soon), and different ways you can support the PTA without giving any of your time.

- Picture Day is September 14th. Your student received a handout last week with information about ordering pictures and the picture date.

- Please take a moment to fill out the following survey. It will help our reading teachers and staff create opportunities for family engagement and increase opportunities for literacy.

- With allergy season returning and some bugs floating around there have been quite a few questions about when to keep a child home from school. Please read the attached document to help provide some guidance. This will also be linked onto the "Nurse's Notes" page under "For Parents." Thank you!

- Conference Night for CPS will be October 25th. Teachers will be available from 4:30-7 pm on this night. More information will come from your student's teacher in late September/early October.

- If you have a returning student please go to the following website to complete registration forms and to update your student's profile. This will need to be completed as soon as possible in order to receive your student's teacher assignment when the letters are mailed in July.
