- CPS COVID Return to School Letter
- Please complete a survey by SUNDAY (2/28) by 12 PM (noon).
- Schools will be switching to an all day model beginning March 8th. This will remain with Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with Wednesday remaining as a day extended learning and checking in on Google.
- Spring Picture Day is March 19th. You will be receiving more details from your student's teacher.
- The Great Kindness Challenge will be during the week of February 8th-12th. You will receive a copy of a challenge board and theme days for dressing up. As your students complete challenges feel free to share with your teacher or the school's social media. Each day will have a dress up theme as well.
Monday (2/8) - Crazy for Kindness (Dress Crazy, Crazy Hair)
Tuesday (2/9) - Throwback to Kindness (Dress like the 90s/80s/70s)
Thursday (2/11) - Powered by Kindness (Dress like a superhero)
Friday (2/12) - Dreaming of Kindness (Favorite pajamas and stuffed animal)
- Tonight's (12/17) will begin at 6:30 pm. Please have your materials ready to go. You will need to use your child's chromebook and MCPS account to view the video. Thank you Mrs. Downs for doing this for the kids!

- 12/14 -- Winter Vacation (Hawaiian shirts, Hula, Sunglasses)
- 12/15 -- Shiny and Bright (anything that shines, bright, or sparkles)
- 12/17 -- Winter Caps (favorite winter hat/cap)
- 12/18 -- Tacky Sweater (tacky sweater or shirt)
- 12/21 -- Plaid Day (plaid, flannel, checks)
- 12/22 -- PJ/Movie Day
- Virtual Art Night with Mrs. Downs!!! This will be held on December 17th at 6:30 pm. More information will be shared soon.
- CPS will have a virtual book fair through Usborne Books. This will run all week next (the week of the 16th. Please click here to find more information including dates, shopping link, and information about an event to have questions answered and even possibly receive free shipping! Please contact Deborah Johnson or Sherry DuShaw (contact info can be found on the attached flyer) if you have any questions.

- The student flu clinic is on October 30th. A copy of your student's insurance card will be needed. Without the correct and complete paperwork students will not be able to receive the flu shot.

- CPS is collecting unopened jars of peanut butters and cans of soup through the end of the week (10/30).
- October 27th is picture retake day.

- CPS will be hosting a drive-by book pick-up on October 29th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Please come anytime during this timeframe to drive through and pick out a free book and receive your free Halloween crafts.
- Next Wednesday CPS will be holding a virtual question and answer session on Tuesday, October 20 at 4:30 pm. We would like to gather questions before the session so we can be better prepared and efficient with our time. Please take a few minutes to complete the Q&A form with any grade level or CPS specific questions you may have. We appreciate you and hope you are able to join us on October 20. - Teachers will be reaching out to all of their families to schedule an appointment to visit, drop off supplies, and meet the teacher. Please remember that you and your student will need to wear face coverings while in the school building.
- Picture day will be September 15th. This is for in-person students only.
